Janine Getler is a Real Estate Attorney and the Principal of Getler, Gomes & Sutton PC, a real estate and construction law firm offering services in the New York and New Jersey areas. Janine has become known as an expert in both real estate and high-rise development law through the New York City area. 

Throughout Janine Getler’s professional career, she’s been working to tie together her two interests and passions: law and real estate. Prior to her current role as Principal at Getler, Gomes & Sutton, PC, Janine held a number of different roles to amass the professional skills and the industry knowledge she’s used to build her career.

In addition to her work with Getler, Gomes & Sutton PC, Janine Getler is also committed to philanthropy. She has been an active member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County since 2002, and provides pro bono counsel as needed. Most recently, Janine joined the Board of Directors for the Rockland County Pride Center in New York and the Advisory Board for SB One Bank.

Janine Getler worked for Standard & Poor’s Corporation as a researcher in the municipal bond department for a time before she took on a role as Legal Assistant/Compliance at Merrill Lynch. Additionally, she’s worked with Beattie Padovano as an associate and Price, Meese, Shulman & D’Arminio as a senior associate. After a time, she moved to the foreclosure, bankruptcy, and litigation firm, Zucker, Goldber & Ackerman, where she served as Counsel.

Janine Getler graduated from Brooklyn Law School with her Juris Doctor, where she also worked as a research assistant to Professor Norman Poser. She was awarded the Jurisprudence Awards for Legal Writing I and II.
